Who is Tammais?

Tammais is a Blue Nets faction warrior who serves as Prelude Dark Pain’s premier frontline tank in Early Access. Previews describe him as a beefy bruiser who taunts enemies to protect allies, then grows stronger as he takes hits — a classic attrition tank that rewards proactive positioning on the grid.

If your squads keep losing Soren or Maya to focused fire, Tammais is usually the fix.

Tammais turns enemy aggression into an advantage. While taunted foes must target him, his passives convert incoming damage into offensive or defensive bonuses.

Passive abilities

• Iron constitution — gains stacking bonuses (damage reduction or damage dealt) each time Tammais takes a hit while taunt is active or while below a health threshold.
• Unbroken line — reduces crit damage taken or prevents knockback while defending, helping him hold choke points against enemy rifle units.

These passives make Tammais better in long fights than burst windows — plan battle points for defend actions when needed.

Virtues and dual build branches

Bulwark branch — maximizes damage reduction, taunt duration, and ally protection. Ideal for hard story missions and escort quests where a single death fails the objective.

Berserker branch — converts absorbed damage into offensive power. Tammais still taunts, but he becomes a secondary DPS — synergizes with Urza heals and Rayder’s frontline presence.

Virtues often trigger when Tammais survives a turn below half health or when three enemies are taunted simultaneously.

Squad synergies

Standard Act 1 frontline: Tammais + Soren + Maya with Tizon or Urza in back. Rufio can share front space — stagger taunts so one always holds aggro while the other damages.

Sade’s golden cross creates zones enemies avoid; Tammais taunts stragglers back into the kill box. Gala barrels need grouped foes — Tammais and Rufio deliver that setup.
